Shilat Haim-Nachum

Dr. Haim-Nachum is a senior faculty member at the Bob Shapell School of Social Work and the Sagol School of Neuroscience, and a faculty affiliate of the National Center for Traumatic Stress and Resilience, at Tel Aviv University. She holds an ongoing research affiliation with Columbia University and the New York State Psychiatric Institute (NYSPI). Her research explores how trauma and childhood maltreatment contribute to psychopathologies such as PTSD, depression, and anxiety, utilizing both behavioral and neurobiological measures. She develops user-friendly technological tools, including video-based social media interventions and AI-mediated self-help applications, to promote mental health among youth and tailors these tools to diverse cultural contexts.
